Ultraviolet Thunderpussy's View: Commentary, Vintage Male Photos, Videos.

I can't believe this ride in cyberspace has already reached the six year mark.

I started this blog to augment coverage of a now defunct male adult website and to express my feelings with the cummings and goings of that site, but as that site ran itself into the ground through pathetic management, I ventured off to follow a path that had no other direction than to always be me and to never compromise on my opinion no matter how contrary it was to the running of the lemmings.

During that first year separated from covering that male porn site, I discovered a direction that would soon become the backbone of the blog from that point forward - I so admire and love all things vintage and since men from my own era were real men with real pubes and real bodies, I set sail toward the vintage male image ocean and have harvested a bountiful catch and to date nearly ten thousand images are on this blog.

As I settled on the vintage theme, I then embarked on using the blog to be more than a flat and static means of communication and started adding vintage television shows and then embarked on adding my other love beyond men (and Tim) and added coverage of vintage automobiles (before the infection of CUV's and SUV's and soccer mom-mobiles).    

I have also added commentaries on such a wide range of areas that I decided this was no longer just a blog and formulated the concept of blogazine because I truly was providing real content rather than just random posts.  

One of the key things I have found about running a blogazine so that is that I could not have the blog run my life and to dictate its upkeep - I have developed a system where at least a week's worth of content is already pre-loaded and ready to go and then I can add timely content as I have time; preloading images and other content on a scheduled system allows quick updates and I can have a week's worth of images posted in about an hour.   

If you are curious, I do surf a lot of vintage sites picking the best images and saving them for my blog just as they are displayed on that site; once I get several hundred new images saved, I batch process them to add the signature white image border I have developed for this site and every image is sized to the same width to make a cleaner and more professional site.    After the batch processing for border, size, and grey scale conversion (from the other tints and sepi looks), I rename the files and auto numeric sequence them.   The originals are saved in my master vintage file just as I had downloaded them for safe keeping. 

About three years ago I started adding music videos from gay performers and then this morphed into my love of country music so now I have two distinct YouTube playlists where I can share the best of both genres that I appreciate.    Each of those playlists are updated constantly with the new content on the face with the rest being behind that in the pull down playlisting at the top left corner of the face video.

I love doing this blog and oddly it never seems like a chore to maintain - having developed a personal life management system of breaking tasks into no more than 30 minute segments, I do what I can in an allocated 30 minute section and then I break and do something else; often time I am so energized that I'll complete a week's worth of postings in a couple of shorter sessions that day so that I can move onto other activities.
