September 11th - Never Forget - 11 Years Later
Let us take a moment out of our busy day today to remember the victims of September 11, 2001 - the poor passengers killed by militant muslims and the first responders who gave of themselves to rescue those trapped in the burning buildings and who either died on that day or years later from inhaling the debris from that disaster. Let us not forget the pilots and crews of those planes who had their lives tragically ended by evil people. And let us not forget those brave members of flight 93 who sacrificed themselves to protect other people's lives.
I remember that day vividly - I was watching ABC when there was a breaking news story about a plane that had accidentally flown into one of the towers. I remember calling my folks and was talking to my dad as he watched the news and we both witnessed the second plane as it flew into the other tower. And I remember the absolutely superb job that Peter Jennings did as he stayed on the air for what seemed like a day as he kept us informed about that disaster. I remember seeing the buildings drop one by one.
And life was never the same.
RIP to all who were victims of a selfish religion hell bent on destroying the world.
