VOTE TODAY!

Today is election day in the United States, and I am asking you to vote if you bothered to register.    To me there is not just a right to vote that exists, there exists the responsibility to vote - and to vote informed on the issues.

Too many voters reach the polls with their minds made up on specious information obtained from friends or by very limited attempt to vote with any time spent on issues and candidates.    These types of voters are the most dangerous because they are easily conned and fooled.   I hope you will be a voter who has intentionally subjected himself to all possible viewpoints on issues and have arrived at an educated opinion and then casts one's vote accordingly.

I just offer this post to thank you for your vote and for acting as an American - I'm not concerned any longer about whom the candidate you chose - rather I just want to rid America of laziness and apathy and to have us to lead the world in the free exercise of voting and to stick a middle finger into the forehead of any UN Poll Worker that might get in our way.    We do not need those assholes, and their presence is an insult to this nation.

Update - Just voted - arrived at 6:15 a.m. and was out at 6:55 a.m.

Turnout is heavy for this time of morning though not as busy as it was for 2008.    Polling efficiency was very good - four people checking ID's and to make notation on laptops that you had voted; 12 actual voting stations and the line moved with relative ease.    About half of the line was inside where it was warm (temp was at freezing outside) and this line snaked back and forth to increase amount of people inside in the warmth.
