New Page 1
Depending on the news source, when March 1st appears on your calendar, you will die.   Other news sources have you dying the next day.   And even others will have you dying on February 28th because of the fear of March 1st.

But make no mistake, there is only one person who is to blame for this mess, and he just got re-elected to office:  President Barack Hussein Obama.

And for good measure, the co-conspirators are his political party and the numbnut Republicans who honestly believed the President wouldn't seriously choose to go down this route.

There are lies circulating on the news media that need to be dispensed with.

The Republicans are not to blame for this situation.

The Democrats are.   You may not like this, but the facts refute the whole mess the media is shoveling like horse shit.

There is one source that has no real axe to grind in this debate and he is no friend to Republicans.   But even I have read his book and he provides the best backstory to this mess and who is to blame for it.    As he is quoted after a Presidential debate from a source that is not Republican friendly (From Politico.com)

Bob Woodward says President Barack Obama got some of his facts wrong on sequester at Monday night’s debate.

Woodward’s book “The Price of Politics” has been the go-to fact check source for the president’s answer, in which he claimed the idea of using deep, automatic, across-the-board domestic and defense spending cuts to force Congress to address the nation’s burgeoning federal deficit originated from Congress, not from the White House.

“What the president said is not correct,” Woodward told POLITICO Tuesday. “He’s mistaken. And it’s refuted by the people who work for him.”

Woodward, a Washington Post journalist who was a key reporter on the initial coverage of the Watergate scandal, said he stands behind his reporting in the book, which drew upon sources involved in last year’s deficit talks and detailed notes taken in the meetings.

Woodward reports in his book that White House Office of Management Director Jack Lew (comment:  who is now being offered for approval as the tax-cheat Geitner as Treasury Secretary!) and Legislative Affairs Director Rob Nabors took the proposal for sequestration to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and then it was presented to congressional Republicans.

During the debate, however, Obama said the idea originated on Capitol Hill.

“First of all, the sequester is not something that I've proposed. It is something that Congress has proposed,” Obama said, adding his strongest pronouncement to date on its future: “It will not happen.”

Woodward said there’s a possibility the president was unaware of how the idea came about.

“It’s a complicated process — and in fairness to the president — maybe he didn’t know that they were doing this because it’s kind of technical budget jargon,” Woodward said.

“What I wrote — it’s specific date, time, place, participants,” he said. “What I’ve reported is totally accurate. Call Nabors and Lew. Or ask the White House. I mean, they know that’s accurate.”

I just heard on ABC News radio that the 2013 spending for all services even if the sequester is allowed to happen is $15 billion more than in 2012.

Here is what I think is happening here.

President Obama generated his sequester plan as a poison pill figuring that Republicans would not dare enact cuts that would dig into defense.   As a plan to extort Republicans into tax increases while figuring he would not have to have any or more than superficial budget cuts in non-defense spending, the President decided that he'd play hardball to force Republicans to go his way.   The resume of the unprofessional behavior of this President in extortion is rampant and vast.

Woodward noted in his book that his Vice President nearly had a deal with the Republicans when he was blindsided by the President and his sequester plan.    You see, no one steals any credit from this man - one of the biggest narcissists in world history.

The President is now engaging in more extortion tactics claiming that nearly 1 million people (in toto) will become unemployed on March 1st and is using the sequester as a cover for an economy that is already tanking after the election - with the tax increases from the post election period already hitting and the economy stagnating with energy price increases (which the President fully supports and has even stated in the past that $7 per gallon gasoline is his goal - don't doubt me - he did say it before becoming President), the economy is tanking.    He is using the Sequester deal as a way to shift blame from his own failure as President to an easy and surprising idiotic group of Republican leaders who can't figure out which end of the condom goes where.

Right now the ONLY PROBLEM not being blamed on the upcoming sequester is meteor's falling in Russia, but make no mistake that there will be something claimed that the Sequester will cut NASA from tracking further space debris and giving us a head's up (even though even NASA didn't see the meteor that hit Russia at all!).

You are being played for fools, America!    When you are overspending on an annual rate of $1.2 trillion per year average and the recent deal to increase taxes has already been spent on giving Super Storm Sandy their freebies, you are being conned and lied to like no other administration in history.

You need to understand - it is against Federal law to do things the President says will happen - furloughs can't happen immediately and as he says they will.    Most cases require 30 days notice and that doesn't start until the situation actually happens!   And every dime of earnings that aren't paid during the sequester will be repaid to the employees!    They won't lose a dime in earnings!

Back in November, there were letters sent to defense contractors threatening them by this President not to report any layoffs that might have resulted from budget cuts while the election is on.   Coincidentally the President and his complicit media are yelling from the rooftops of false unemployment and furloughs.

You have before you the ultimate game of chicken little - claiming the sky is literally falling and most of what is being said is false and downright lies.

When your annual budget is over three thousand billion and you have to cut eighty-five billion ANNUALLY, that is nothing.   The $1.2 trillion is over more than a decade but these assholes in the media don't tell you that.

I suggest you read up.   The President is now the biggest liar in American history - supplanting George W. Bush on WMD's.    If you are overspending by a $1.2 trillion per year, $85 billion in cuts is like trying to find $85 in cuts out of $1,200 in spending!

Update:   Bob Woodward personally lambasts the President for lying about the sequester in the Washington Post on February 22nd.
