I would like to dedicate this week's videos to those who have fell victim to tyranny and to remember bravery and strength of a generation from whom we all could learn. This is an era where real men with backbone and resolve stood up against tyranny and saved their world for their children. Tonight's video is about the "Great Escape" - the real one - in World War II - which was made into a movie that starred Steve McQueen and others including the late James Garner. This video is told from the perspective primarily of one British man and his family recaps his personal and military career. It also ties together some disparate events that I had heard about and shows how people during World War II were at risk at any time.
During this week the content may not be pleasant at times, but it is imperative that we recognize the strength that these men had in fighting tyranny and we must not forget them.
