I'll admit it.

I don't get the whole smart phone fad.

Up until this July I didn't even own a smart phone.   I had a cheap Tracphone that was great for making emergency calls.   I didn't need more.   I have Vonage at home for making calls.   And even that I make maybe a call a week and actually receive one call per week.

The smart phone I have is a good one - I use it to check websites I design to see how they look on small, worthless screens that captivate the masses and are virtually useless otherwise.

I don't find looking at tiny screens (and please, don't tell me anything around 5 and 6 inches is big) to be enjoyable.   And I don't see why anyone would bother trying to type with those worthless fake on board keyboards.    When it comes to entering content on a phone, I don't bother.

I do have an 8 inch Windows 8.1 tablet that I like, but even then the keyboard is useless and I use a blue tooth device for anything of more than a password entry.

Yes, my smart phone is an Android - nice enough - no complaints.   I have apps installed, but I find them tiresome and offer nothing compelling other than being able to deposit checks by taking a picture to deposit.    Most every other app is annoying - offering you worthless items of news or content that I wouldn't waste time looking up had I had the time.    My smart phone goes unused for days - and then I have to get rid of those repugnant items that are generated by apps.

I don't twat, twit, or retwat.   I don't facebook.   I don't instagiveafuck.

And my life is simple.   I don't even check email on my phone.   I have a 15 inch laptop screen to read those.   And if I really wanted to see something, I'd look at it on a 24 inch screen via hdmi.

Get a life, idiots.   Ditch the phones.   Really visit your friends.   Eat dinner with your folks.    Go out to eat and leave your phone at home.   Engage the real human that is sitting across from you.

You smart phone addicts really have problems.   Life is passing you by and you don't even know it.
