News.com from Australia noted a little over a year and a half ago that, "LENA Dunham has apologised to a man who was wrongly linked to the account of her rape in her memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, saying the similarities are “an unfortunate and surreal coincidence”.
The Girls star wrote about being attacked by the “campus’s resident conservative” — who she refers to as “Barry” in the text — while studying at Oberlin College.
But it has emerged that a man named Barry who matches the description in Dunham’s book — and is not her alleged rapist — is threatening legal action after being wrongly linked to the incident, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Writing on Buzzfeed today, Dunham said: “To be very clear, ‘Barry’ is a pseudonym, not the name of the man who assaulted me, and any resemblance to a person with this name is an unfortunate and surreal coincidence”.

I am currently going through a rough patch with the illness and my body (along with my amazing doctors) let me know, in no uncertain terms, that it's time to rest."
