reading about this commercial spot from McDonald’s
Taiwan had me in tears. A 90 second spot shows a son at a
McCafe coming out to his father via a note on a coffee cup
saying, “I like boys.” The father leaves the table,
his son sitting in silence and alone. The father returns,
picks up his son’s coffee cup, and changes the note to,
“I accept that you like boys.”
And yes,
you heard it right, TAIWAN. Take that, those who write
racial slurs on coffee cups and receipts in America."
