Some commercials are more irritating than others.
Verizon used to have "Can You Hear Me Now?"
Now they have "Can You Please Shut the Fuck Up?"
Thomas Middleditch is a 20 something idiot who seems to be hired to be irritating and vomit inducing in his snide remarks for no good reason. It is as if they hired the dumbest snowflake on the planet and made him a corporate spokesperson without a point to be made.
At least "Can You Hear Me Now?" had a point. Even if that guy was a geek and somewhat nauseating, he was not bone dead stupid and repugnant.
Thomas Middleditch is unfortunately Canadian and in his mid 30's. That is the end of his positive qualities.
He portrays a snide, know-it-all, jerk who offers nothing of substance to make Verizon's case for cellular superiority. After hearing this douche bag talk, I have no idea why I should consider Verizon over Dog Crap Cellular Corporation.
All I know is that more than five seconds of hearing this clown, I want to take a complete set of steak knives and plunge them into his throat so he'll bleed to death in a less irritating vocal cavalcade.
Interesting "Can You Hear Me Now?" is now with another cellular company - though I can't remember who he now advocates.
