Amnesty International awarded Colin Kaepernick its Ambassador of
Conscience Award on Saturday for his public protest against racial and
social injustice.
"The Ambassador of Conscience award celebrates the spirit of
activism and exceptional courage, as embodied by Colin Kaepernick,"
Salil Shetty, the human rights group's secretary-general, said in a
statement. "He is an athlete who is now widely recognized for his
activism because of his refusal to ignore or accept racial
discrimination."
Please note that Colon Krappernick has not substantiated any systemic racial discrimination or deprivation of black people's rights. All of his whinings are based on situations that happened under the rule of a black President which should have solved all ills. The clown Krappernick is spewing a false narrative and ignores that more white young men are killed by police than black young men; and Krappernick never once deals with black on black crime like the death wave going through places like the former King's homeland, Chicago.
The award is Amnesty International's highest honor, according to its website.
Past winners include Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, U2, Alicia Keys
and Ai Weiwei. Kaepernick was presented with the award at a ceremony in
Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Impressive collection of individuals who haven't solved one damn thing. Only Nelson Mandela actually did something. Now we have a person who supports tyrants of the leftist bend and advocates killing of police officers and who is entirely bankrolled by George Soros who nearly destroyed the British currency system by "shorting" the currency.
Kaepernick, a former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, became the subject of controversy when he kneeled during the national anthem
before several 2016 NFL preseason and regular-season games in protest
of police shootings of African-American men and other social injustices
faced by black people in the United States.
Krappernick squatted during the playing of the National Anthem and never sought to protest outside of that playing of the National Anthem - he conducted a dog and pony show on the employer's dime where he has no free speech rights whatsoever; not only that he did so while wearing socks depicting the police as actual pigs.
"To me, this is
something that has to change," Kaepernick said in an August 2016
interview. "And when there's significant change and I feel like that
flag represents what it's supposed to represent, and this country is
representing people the way that it's supposed to, I'll stand."
His protest, which inspired other players to participate, sparked
national debate over issues of police brutality and racial and social
injustice. He was also widely criticized for what many onlookers
characterized as showing disrespect to the US flag.
This is a false statement - he has never advocated to END POLICE BRUTALITY - he only cares about black men being killed - he has never advocated for a systemic change of police protocol on handling confrontation with perpetrators of crime. He believes that laws were created by white men to persecute black men and that black men are not obligated to follow such laws. Krappernich has never demanded black men to stop committing crimes against each other nor has he told black men to grow up and to stop committing crimes at a higher percentage of their population compared to other races.
And never has Krappernick advocated that social justice also extend to equality in sports where blacks have a disproportionate percentage of jobs compared to their overall percentage of the population; nor has Krappernick ever advocated for abolition of race-based policies in education and jobs that favor blacks.
Kaepernick's kneeling drew the attention of President Donald Trump, who said during a September rally in Alabama that NFL owners should respond to the protests by firing the players.
"When high-profile people choose to take a stand for human rights, it
emboldens many others in their struggles against injustice," Shetty
said. "Colin Kaepernick's commitment is all the more remarkable because
of the alarming levels of vitriol it has attracted from those in power."
Krappernick is a high profile player who is using a false narrative to advance socialist agenda which is part of the whole "social justice" movement. This is never about equality. This is about black separationist philosophy which believes that laws are made by white men to punish higher pigmentation populations.
In March 2017, Kaepernick became a free agent, but has yet to be offered a contract from any NFL team.In October, he filed a grievance against the league, accusing team owners of colluding to keep him from being signed.
Krappernick eschewed other offers and claimed $11 million in salary even before his protestations began; evidence of this proof of non-collusion is offered here. Once he stole attention while employed during the National Anthem, he lost any hope of being employed; because of his actions, other players mimicked him and hundreds of thousands of fans protested by ceasing to attend games and national television audiences shrank. None of this happened because Krappernick chose a position; all of this happened because he chose to shit on the National Anthem and during time he was employed to play football. Employees have no free speech rights while on the job and being on the sidelines prior to a game is time on the job since he was in uniform while doing his protests.
Kaepernick said Saturday that he shares the award with "all of the
countless people throughout the world combating the human rights
violations of police officers, and their uses of oppressive and
excessive force."
No, Krappernick only advocates black positions and is an overt racist advancing falsehoods.
"I am here to join with you all in this battle against police violence," he said.
Since becoming a free agent last year, Kaepernick completed a September 2016 pledge to donate $1 million to organizations working in what he called oppressed communities.
And none of these communities were majority white; they were all high concentrations of black populations and never advanced any cause that decried black on black violence which is the leading killer of young black men.
Kaepernick was named GQ's Citizen of the Year in November and in December accepted the 2017 Sports Illustrated Muhammad Ali Legacy Award. He has also received the Eason Monroe Courageous Advocate Award from the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California in December.
