You see, the more cash we throw at the races of the sister of perpetual victim hood, the better off their lives will be and that racism would be over.
Well, not so fast sisters of PVH.
We all know you will never be satisfied with truly being equal.
For that means your failures would suddenly be your failures and not due to some white man keeping his boot on your neck and coming into your home and stealing the change off your bedroom dresser.
I'm at a loss at how reparations would truly work?
Try as I might, I can't work up enough mathematics to support the notion of giving "true slaves" any money because there are not any true slaves from the pre-emancipation era still living.
You see, only slaves were victims.
Those who rose from their loins and copulative efforts are Americans with free will and a choice in how they live their lives. And it is quite a stretch to think that pigment is equal tyranny. For those who were such "victims" have had nearly 50 years of post Democrat Southern Political tyranny of colored v. whites welfare programs to mitigate the impact you could have ever felt. From quotas to racial set asides to overt welfare payments to college admission programs promoting pigment over lack of it, we have numerous efforts by our government to make your sense of victimization just a little less than painful.
Oddly, we have no programs to assist the Irish and Chinese who were just as low on the social ladder in the 1800's as any person of pigment. And while those with pigment are so quick to note that they can't suddenly remove that pigment as if that means they are the sole victims of racism, one would be hard pressed to reformulate the chinese eyes or the Irish Red hair, pale skin, and freckles to mask the overt racism both felt with no less pain (but with much less boo hoo from the leftist Democrats).
Reparations presume that there is a need to give an afflicted group a sum of money that would somehow get them to let go of their sense of entitlement to being a perpetual victim; I'd contend that you could give each living black person here $1 million and they'd still find an excuse to have their nose out of joint and to whimper about being a victim of racism (shadows have a weird way of playing with your mind). And you know damned well that the Sisters of Perpetual Victimhood who scream the loudest now won't be satisfied with their million dollars since it would be taxed and that would be a sign of more whitie keeping them down. So we'd have to make sure the reparations would be tax free.
But what about the brood mares who collect children from different daddies like your grandmother collected S&H Green Stamps? Who is going to put a cork into them to stop dropping babies by the dozen just so that each of them won't be getting a million? You can just see this group finally mastering math and figuring out that they would have about 10 months to get horizontal and to pop out another "chile" before the law went active. They'd need 1 month notice to get enough black dick lined up to ensure one load takes hold and sprouts forth a million dollars.
So, when do we end this reparations? Those who are pigmented and who are now living will line up for their million as the entitlement they've long demanded, but how about those black lives that are born after the last check is handed out? What will happen to those poor pigmented souls who will only have their sense of perpetual victimhood to cling to while their brothas and sistas have cashed their checks and bought cars well beyond their means with 40 inch tire and wheel packages and enough crack to send them to an early grave?
As unseemly as the concept of reparations for non-victims of the crimes against their ancestors seems, then we should not forget that each black life that was once a slave and was then freed was paid for by the death of a non-pigmented Union soldier (as well as some black ones)? Where do those who died to free the slaves and to bring this Union back together get their reparations and compensation? Is the fact that pigment is an easy weapon to wag in our faces an excuse for giving only blacks some cold hard cash?
And what if we billed those ancestors for rights they had no right to claim by virtue of their ancestors being dragged here in the first place - sold by other blacks to the white man? Clearly blacks weren't arriving here on cruise ships, so those who stayed and procreated did so of their own but they reap the American experience (even with their black face perspective) rather than the experience of their African relatives. It is a far cry to be poor and black here with air conditioning, WIC, and EBT than to be black in Africa with malaria, snakes, spiders, and black on black crime (sounds like Chicago) and a living standard just above a single wide former refrigerator box for deluxe accommodations.
Should we not deduct from black reparations the cost of services and experiences they received without reason and then deduct the cost of paying back the families of those who died to free them?
What would happen if the cost of repaying the real victims, the soldiers and their families, consumed every bit of pigment reparation and forced that crowd to own the rest of us for our pain and suffering for listening to them invent racism and to continue to cling to their sense of perpetual victimization?
I'd love the chorus.
