Historians were rushing to their televisions.

History books being printed were being thrown away as history was re-written in a press conference by Democrat Representative Sheila Jackson Lee.

Revelations today have pundits contemplated finding both the oldest known living human being and an actual former slave, now freed, who has just outted herself.

Details released on the political website, The Hill, a left of center site dedicated reporting all things political from Congress, caused Washington to pause today as the usually idiotic and unintelligent Representative revealing her true identity and seemingly explaining why her recollection of reality is different from reality that we all know.

The otherwise non-lucid Representative was speaking about the President's whinings about the Sequester plan that could occur in March 2013.   Representative Lee failed to mention that the plan originated at the White House and from soon to be Treasury Secretary Lew who worked at the White House.   The Hill notes...

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) urged her colleagues to reach a compromise to prevent spending cuts through sequestration, arguing that government programs are already as lean as they can be.

"We're at the bone almost, and sequester, that is across-the-board cuts, will literally destroy us and put us in a recession," she said on the House floor Wednesday.

She called on Republicans to meet Democrats at the negotiating table and rejected the idea that President Obama delivered a partisan State of the Union address Tuesday night.

"May I ask them to take some cotton out of their ears, because in actuality, the president extended his hands of friendship," she said. "I don't want to hear the fact that the president is divisive. The president is leading, and he's led well."

Yet the interview left many questions unanswered:

- How is it that Congress gave her her freedom when the Southern states primarily led by Democrats supported Slavery and seceded from the nation and were in no position to make her a freed slave;

- That this Congress hasn't passed anything other than gas;

- That our President is perfectly willing to do unconstitutional actions through executive orders and could have made her a freed slave even as he apparently is one also since he is African-American and elected twice to the Presidency;

- She has not prepared the sale papers with her name on them indicating she was purchased as a slave;

- That she has not produced any paper issued by Congress to indicate she is now freed.

Readers of this blog should remember that Representative Lee is always one of those idiots who stands on the aisle waiting for the President to come in during States of the Union speeches.   She must quit work early each day for scores of hours so she can get the proper location that shows off her alien hairstyle that she sports each session of Congress and that her position will be just at the right location to be in proper television range so she gets face time during the telecast of the State of the Union speech.

What is striking about Representative Lee's words is that she notes Congress has worked to free her but then she rebukes the very same Congress for not working together.   Her words suggest that ending slavery is easier than the Senate coming up with a annual budget which it has failed to do in four successive years.

I wonder what Abraham Lincoln would think knowing that a modern Representative would diminish his role in history over ending slavery and instead shifting that historical action to the Speaker of the House named Boner!?
