There
is a huge debate going on in Washington trying to justify giving
special treatment to tens of millions of illegal immigrants.
"There are
too many of them to deport them all"
"These
people are nice people."
"People who
are against immigrants are really racists against
Hispanics."
The excuses for
justifying special treatment of illegal immigrants is
manifold. We've heard them all. And like
all justifications for giving these illegal immigrants special
treatment, using one on race is one of the lowest and most
repugnant. But proponents of illegal aliens have no
moral or intellectual center. They are repulsive
folks who have neither the law nor the rights of man on their
side.
Let's examine
what happens when you become an illegal immigrant.
As a person
crosses from one country into the United States without
permission or sanctioned papers, that person instantly is a
law-breaker.
Those people who
enter with papers and stay past the expiration of those
documents become law-breakers.
I would suggest
that anyone who feels compassion for the illegal aliens in this
country to google the laws dealing with illegal aliens in the
country from which those folks fled. You will
find that every country seeks to deport illegal aliens - and
there is more punishment as well.
Since it is
apparent that bleeding hearts do not think when they show
compassion for illegal aliens, I want to make this personal for
advocates for illegal immigrants. |
Imagine
for a moment that the person who becomes an illegal alien is
crossing your house's threshold instead of the US
border. Since crossing that threshold into
your house is unlawful (you granted no permission), that is
exactly the same thing as someone crossing our border without
permission. Imagine if that border crosser is now at
your back door with a pry bar and breaks in just like he would
if he cut our fence or burrowed under it.
Another instance of unlawful entry.
When a person
crosses our border (or into your house) without permission, do
you care about their motives? Imagine if both
persons "just wanted to get food for their family"
(typical leftist excuse for illegal aliens).
Do you care if
the forced entry into your home was only for
food?
Imagine this is
in the dark of night - out of your view and the illegal alien
did it without calling notice to himself. Does
that make the crime less of a crime?
Imagine if the
"burglar" decided he liked it in your house (as
opposed to his) and he figured staying in your house was
okay. His intentions, after all, are just wonderful.
He just wants to
feed his kids.
So the burglar
takes up residence in your attic - you don't see or hear
him. He finds a day job while standing on a street
corner and works under the table with a construction
company. He makes cash money and then starts leaving
money on your kitchen table every once in a while.
He pays for his food or your electricity.
After a while,
he's been there for months and he figures that his duration of
stay gives him squatter's rights to your house so he comes out
of the shadows and decides he deserves to be granted legal owner
status of the house - albeit a shared one. He
has committed no offense while here and he's even mowed your
lawn without being asked - he's cleaned your toilets - he does
the jobs you refuse to do.
He buys things in
your town, pays sales taxes just like everyone
else. He even picks up his own trash and
throws it away - unlike you.
Then this burglar
decides that since you don't have anything in this house that is
in his language, you should be forced to speak his native
language. After all, he's been here long enough to
make his presence important and justifiable. So he
decides to sue you to have bilingual this and bilingual that.
Since this person
in this example has conducted himself just like every other
illegal immigrant, border crosser, American Experience thief,
how is it that he should be granted a right to your house
because of his intentions and motives? Does not the
law mean anything? Why are we suddenly going to
excuse him from seeking part ownership of your house just
because he has been a good boy and supports his family? |
