Thunderview News - thunderview.blogspot.com
Since the Sandy Hook mass killing of elementary school age children and the resulting Sandy Hook parents trotting out their dead childrens' corpses as props to impose gun control on the rest of us just like the strict laws that were in effect in their state at the time of the mass homicide, we have a culture that is being imposed upon us by gun control nuts.

These gun control nut jobs  pull the trigger for gun control which would resolve nothing - taking guns from the hands of law-abiding citizens only ensures that those intent on doing harm would find them in the black market just like drugs are illegal and users buy them in dark alleys or in illegal ways.    Hell, we have laws against people crossing our border but they still come.   It is, after all, an act of love, not a felony.

We have been conditioned into thinking that mass violence can only come from the barrel of a gun, so when a nut job uses a knife or a set of knives to inflict pain upon others, the gun control nuts and the pathetic Sandy Hook parents don't rush to the microphone and television camera to whine and to ball their eyes out.   After all, when children die or are injured from evil guns that is worrisome and an event that matches the Progressive Socialist agenda.   When children are harmed by a steak or butter knife, that doesn't match the template or narrative of an agenda so we don't need to be concerned about this.

One has to wonder if Progressives think that being shot is somehow worse than getting your chest or face stabbed.   I know when I feel the serration of a knife slice through my finger when I'm slicing a tomato, it is a wonderful sensation - it is a delight to behold and cannot begin to approximate the sensation of a gunshot wound.   It is so unfair of me to suggest that when a child receives a knife wound between the ribs that punctures a lung or other vital organ that that can approximate the vile gunshot wound.   How dare I be as concerned for children getting knifed as the Sandy Hook parents seem to be advocating for their pathetic leftist agenda?

I am certainly worried that we have a situation in our culture where violence is rampant and that mass violence seems all the rage.    But let us not forget that gun control does nothing to prevent what happened today.   Troubled youth and adults will seek out the easiest root to resolve their issues and whether the weapon of choice is a gun, a butter knife, or a garden hoe, we are powerless to prevent nut jobs from inflicting pain on others.

Oh, we could lock up the crazies, but we have to also face that crazies, until they are like animals and attack, are real people with real rights.    And we can't register every butter, steak, or hunting knife and then run background checks on folks who are buying cutlery at Walmart.    But registration and gun control laws are based on the same stupidity - that the best intentions don't make great laws and great laws still won't prevent nut jobs from using whatever they can swing to do harm to others.

In this particular case the perpetrator was evidently a 16 year old male (likely white) and had several knives and injured at least 19 people.     It is so nice to see that a gun free zone and gun control was so appropriate in this situation.   Apparently this juvenile was pretty well adjusted.    Who knows what was going through his mind at this time.

Once again, we have unprotected schools - whether the act of violence was with a gun, a hunting knife, or a sharpened pencil, the problem is that we seek to punish law abiding people while having stupidity in the form of zero tolerance running our schools.   And while we may feel good that we can declare our schools gun free, the fact remains children are unprotected by reality - words mean nothing - slogans and silly leftist mantra protects no one.

Schools should be required to have armed guards or teachers packing weapons - or someone there who is trained and can handle crises.   Perhaps we could have national guard or our fine military people spend some time on school grounds.    But we know that in gun free areas, those are the places where people die - movie theatres, military bases, and schools.   It is time that we stop preventing law abiding people from having the ability to protect themselves.

Let's change this environment - let's start sending the violent people to their maker and ending their misery - the moment they dare harm someone they should be sent to the morgue without any remorse.    When we start putting perpetrators of violence in body bags, we'll start sending a message that the playing field of reality has been leveled.   Dare harm a child and expect your own funeral.

  1. Imagine if this kid had used a gun (or guns) instead of knives!!?
You say schools should have armed guards or teachers ... who's gonna protect the children when these wannabe cops are the ones that go crazy and start a killing spree? Maybe there should be an armed teacher for every armed guard, and an armed principal for every armed teacher, and an armed janitor for every armed principal...

  2. Well, sadly, we've tried it your way and we've seen what "gun free" means. Law abiding citizens are being killed by the ones who are ignoring the "gun free" part.

So... if we don't arm TRAINED people with guns at military bases, I guess it makes sense to not arm other trained people in school like police and guards. The leftist mind never ceases to amaze me at its inability to grasp reality.
