As I have experienced fast food working my way through college and starting at just over $2 per hour, I can say that 90% of fast food workers are overpaid at $5 per hour and none are worth more than $7.50 per hour.
At no time was the minimum wage EVER designed to be a living wage.
I don't give a flying fuck if you impregnate 10 different sows or you have 20 different children - I don't care if you overpaid for a college education that delivers nothing in the real world - I don't care if you were unemployed at a higher paying job and now you have to settle for a minimum wage one.
YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE DOES NOT CHANGE THE RATIONALE FOR A MINIMUM WAGE!
What has happened is that the ranks of those making the minimum wage has exploded because of King Pimple of a Man's policies - he has cost you hours because of his stupid Obamascare plans - he has swelled your ranks because no one can find a job - most simply leave the laborforce and his record there is at record levels for the past 35 years.
If you cannot make ends meet at a minimum wage job, oh fucking well - get another. That is what has always been done - but you greedy, self-righteous, lazy, assholes think you should be a CEO on day one. You don't give any service - it would be an improvement if you gave mediocre service.
I hope you get your wage - because you know what - Big Macs will cost $10 each. A Wendy's triple cheese will cost $15. And a Big Gulp will cost you $5. You have no idea how this increase will cascade across the planet - and - at $15 per hour, you will be terminated as technology that exists right now will replace you. Places will go to touchscreens replacing LaQuisha who is busy taking her phone call from baby daddy five begging her for $20 so he can get some smokes. French fries can be cooked by automation. Burgers as well. And sammiches can be topped by a fixin bar where customers make their own damn food.
I hope you all become unemployed. If you were worth more than minimum wage, you'd already be the manager.
