Well, well, well. Looks like Burger King was not above the horse-meat-in-beef-products scandal that hit the U.K. about two weeks ago.
After weeks of denying that their products were tainted, Burger King finally admitted that new tests have shown that there were "very small trace levels of equine DNA" from a Silvercrest plant, the Daily Mail reports.
The fast-food chain had originally said they were completely positive that their products were not involved, but it eventually found four samples with horse DNA. "Within the last 36 hours, we have established that Silvercrest used a small percentage of beef imported from a non-approved supplier in Poland," a representative said.
